Oh, just let them be.

Currently listening to: Thunder. Yes! It’s raining!
Mood: CARPE DIEM
Which in case you don’t know, is Latin for “take advantage of every opportunity that fate sends your way because you never know when the next one will come along.” With the Olympic games drawing to a close, I find myself looking forward to the closing ceremony at 8.00pm. GOSH, I’m sure its going to be the next
BIG thing. China’s hello to the world was alr all glamour-yes-and-world-class-level (I loveeee the water cube!) so I’m expecting an even better goodbye.
Hhaa. Sooo, China, live it up!
Ohyea, ppl are also saying that the SingaporeTableTennisTeam manager Mr Antony Lee, was told to leave. The exact words were “your service is not needed.” Like wth? Helllooooowwww, are singaporeans brain dead or just purely lacking in basic courtesy? (According to Ms Lee Bee Wah, president of STTA, who took ovr last mth, the coaches were irresponsible for leaving the men’s table tennis paddler, Gao Ning without a coach on courtside.)
Please, it’s barely a week after paddlers LiJiaWei and her teammates won a medal for Singapore after 48 years. Shouldn’t we be in the celebrating mode instead of –you-are-fired-?
And why is Mr Liu Guodong, the head coach also facing such a fate? I simply don’t understand the need for a new “committee”.
What’s more, some netizens are also debating if the medal being won by a china-born, in other words, foreigner, should be the case.
Here I am, thinking like duh, whereas, some others look at them as if they are strangers, just because they ARE foreigners. Whoa. If that’s the case, aren’t we all strangers to ourselves.
Our forefathers were mostly all china descendents, btw.
Just because we hold a singaporean citizenship, lived on this red dot for many more years, we aren’t ready to accept them.
Funny isn’t it, when we all are of the same chinese ethnic, just from dfferent lands. What difference does it make, rly? Why do singaporeans have to build this unspoken, invisible barrier between us?
They’ve actually given up their China Citizenship to be a singaporean. Doesn’t this say much? Having to adapt to a new country is bad enough, what with their relatives being miles away. At least be merciful.
They‘re fighting against their ex-country for medals. I would find it difficult if it was me in their position. Anws, isn’t singapore a multicultural society? I’m starting to think that all the Social Studies I learn is just talk.
In the first place, if Singapore wasn’t facing a population dip, we wouldn’t be pooling for foreign talents. Sooo, if their displacement unsettles you, blame it on youselves.
Draw the line, spare them.
Like how a parent would to a child from the rod.
Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the candy empire.
Hello. My name is liying, without any spacing in between.
I'm obviously a girl, if it isn't obvious enough.
I also have this super, uber, long name which says
Any one will do, its your choice.
My awesomeness can't be contained in such a teeny-weeny box because i'm sensational.
Yes, I'm loved, bayy-beh. I blog about everything under the sun and anything that's the past, present and the future. My profile page is non-existent, because its not long enough.
